Jasmin Rowlandson

Sculptural Practice

Jasmin Rowlandson is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of material, memory, and meaning. Formally trained as a sculptural ceramicist at Camberwell College of Arts, her creative roots lie in porcelain—specifically a paper clay body she developed to create delicate, fronded forms full of movement, lightness, and energy.

Her practice celebrates the immense beauty and fragility of the natural world through intricate, one-off sculptures and wall hangings. Since graduating, Jasmin has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has collaborated with architects, designers, and interior specialists to create large-scale, site-specific works.

Her work explores the sensual and emotional connection between body and land, water and material. She is inspired by places that hold deep visual and emotional resonance—reefs, coastlines, fields, woods—and the untamed growth found within them: corals, lichens, mosses, fungi. With a distinctly feminine lens, Jasmin explores the rare and the everyday, the endangered and the enduring. Her sculptures invite contemplation of nature’s rhythms, its quiet power, and its impermanence.

Jewellery Practice

Alongside her sculptural work, Jasmin has developed a deeply personal jewellery practice—an intimate extension of her material language. Using inherited tools and ancestral forms, she hand-sculpts each piece from wax, then casts in silver and adorns with pearls and precious stones.

Every piece is a one-of-a-kind, slow-crafted object—shaped by memory, material, and the meditative process of making.

Inspired by the same wild ecologies that inform her sculpture, Jasmin’s jewellery carries the essence of nature’s poetry in wearable form. These are modern heirlooms: personal, timeless, and alive with story.
